Are you a web-savvy and entrepreneurial university engineering / computer science student looking for an interesting and challenging internship with one of the biggest names in online travel? If so, this exciting and unusual internship with Expedia Affiliate Network (EAN) might be right up your street. This is an 8-12 week project based in Hong Kong.
Project brief: Through various past acquisitions, EAN owns a number of valuable domain names such as www.orlando.com. Today, the sites sitting on these URLs are out of date. We are looking for a creative and entrepreneurial intern to leverage the tools and solutions that EAN offers to our affiliates and to create a transactional in-house affiliate sites. Our tools range from customizable hosted templates to XML services. Once the site is live, the intern is free to try different traffic generation techniques as our affiliates would do (SEO landing pages, blogging etc.) to enhance site value. The intern will be asked to document the entire process on an internal blog diary / step by step guide – including the time and challenges from start to going live, who they had to talk to, what documents they had to access and will be asked to present to the executive team at the end of the project, produce recommendations for how our offerings can be improved from an affiliate perspective.
Project objectives: EAN aims to achieve three main objectives through this project: * To understand the end to end experience of our affiliates and areas that can be improved
Project Phasing: * Week 1: Understand and explore EAN tools, produce and present a project plan
