Movie Recommendation:
"Monsters Inc."

If you like "Toy Story 1 & 2", you will definitely love Monsters Inc. brought to you by the same team. A warm, funny, witty and very enjoyable cartoon.

Trip plan: From Tung Chung, we will take a bus to Tai O, a fishing village, followed by a boat trip to Fan Lau. The original hiking trip would have taken 5-6 hrs to complete, we will take a short cut and travel by boat to go directly to Fan Lau, this will cut the hiking time down to ~3 hrs. We will walk back to Tai O and admire the scenic coastline. We will come across magnificent beaches, ruined villages, and even a Qing Dynasty fort and enjoy expansive sea views at every turn. Bring lots of drinks and snacks.

Trip report: Several friends have warned us about recent incidents that resulted in the closure of part of the route near Fan Lau. So we took a different path and hiked from Sek Mun Kep to the big Buddha statue. Stopping at a temple to have some refreshing soya bean milk and veggy dishes. It was rainy but that didn't dampen our spirit, we were happily chatting our way to the big Buddha which is now one of the recognised landmark of Hong Kong.
