Atypical pneumonia general facts
Transmission: Close
contact with aerosolized (exhaled) droplets and bodily secretions
from an infected person. Symptoms: High fever (> 38 Celsius), dry cough, shortness
of breath or breathing difficulties. Other possible symptoms include
headache, muscular stiffness, loss of appetite, malaise, confusion,
rash and diarrhoea. Prevention: Avoid travel to infected areas. Stay away from
crowded places and maintain good personal hygiene. Strengthen immune
system with proper nutrition, adequate rest and exercise.
